Description

The Department of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is seeking a full-time BC/BE Neonatologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.

Primary responsibilities include patient care, resident education, and medical student education. Protected time is available to pursue clinical and/or laboratory research interests. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, in conjunction with Ochsner LSU Health St. Mary, is the only major academic medical center in the area and receives patients from a catchment area with a radius of approximately 75-100 miles which includes a population of approximately 1½ million people. The Pediatric Department is a large academic multispecialty Department with active clinical and basic research programs.

Shreveport is an attractive, comfortable, small southern city with excellent schools, good restaurants, and multicultural opportunities. It is an excellent place to raise children.

Qualifications

The applicant must the following:

  • Must be a BE/BC Neonatologist and eligible for LA Medical license.
