The Dr. Xiangqin He lab at LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellows to join our research program focused on vascular smooth muscle biology and vascular diseases.
Research Focus
- Integrative bioinformatics analysis of omics data
- Vascular smooth muscle cell phenotypic switching
- Vascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, aneurysm and restenosis
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments under the supervision of the PI
- Organize and analyze the preliminary data
- Contribute to manuscript and scientific presentations
- Apply for independent postdoctoral fellowships and assist with PI grant applications
- Mentor junior lab members in coordination with the PI
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Research experience in molecular biology, mouse genetic models, or vascular biology
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and rodent handling
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in bioinformatic analysis
- Familiarity with vascular biology or cardiovascular disease models
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
