Job requirements include: · Operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body· Positioning patients utilizing immobilization devices· Monitoring, recording and communicating as appropriate, utilizing easy-to-navigate computerized documentation systems· Utilizing knowledge of any age-specific needs of a patient in relation to the performance of duties and responsibilities· Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff· Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required· Splinting and strapping patients as needed· Explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns· Assisting with patient registration, insurance verification, and normal daily office operations· Smiling and creating a caring and helpful experience to the patients
