What you’ll do as a Specialist, HR Communications and Operational Excellence:
- Develop and execute communication plans for HR programs, policies, initiatives, and other projects as assigned. Collaborate with different departments to ensure consistent and clear internal communication.
- Independently write, edit, and distribute various types of content, including newsletters, emails, memos, presentations, and intranet updates while ensuring all HR communications are consistent and aligned with the company’s brand and voice.
- Assist the Sr. Manager, HR Operational Excellence Manager in the review, preparation, and approval of all internal HR-related communications and HR executive communications.
- Maintain HR communication templates, guidelines, and distribution lists, and develop any new communications-related materials or tools as needed.
- Ensure our internal HR SharePoint site, HR Connect, is regularly updated with any new content (SOPs, process maps, presentation decks, visuals, etc.) and the design and structure across all pages is consistent and user-friendly.
- Support the planning, organization, and execution of HR-related communication activities such as HR Town Halls, HR Conferences, HR Development Sessions, the annual HR Calendar, the HR Directory, and the HR Newsletter.
- Work closely with the Sr. Manager, HR Operational Excellence and CHRO to coordinate timing, consolidate and organize content/presentations, and assist with agenda planning for all regular HR meetings and activities managed through the HR Operational Excellence team.
- Collaborate with the HR Operational Excellence Manager, CHRO, and HR Leaders to help ensure HR communication vehicles are used strategically, sharing key information and updates with the internal HR team timely and effectively.
- Support the creation and delivery of change management plans for key HR projects, initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
- Collaborate on projects and with internal teams to understand HR programs, initiatives, and communication needs; share plans and proposals; and provide status updates.
- Act as a supporting resource for HR project teams to offer insight and feedback, assist with escalating risks or concerns, and consolidate information for leadership updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Communications, Digital Marketing, Human Resources, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills, written, and oral.
- Writing experience including but not limited to email campaigns, content summaries, and succinct descriptions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Effective organizational, analytical, writing, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities using independent judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and build rapport at all levels of the organization.
- Writing samples or portfolio showcasing success must be included for application to be considered**.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, managing projects as assigned and comfortable with managing changing schedules/agenda professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to compile information and data into written and graphic presentations and other communication methods
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of HR related experience or a combination of experience in a relevant role (i.e., HR Operations/Shared Services, Project/Program Management, HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition).Experience with creating and maintaining SharePoint sites.
- Experience proof reading memos and reports, attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Basic understanding of organizational change management methodology a plus
- Graphic design / Adobe experience is a plus.
- Conference experience is a plus.
