VP, Corporate & Brand Communications
Summary of Position
The Vice President of Corporate and Brand Communications is responsible for the Company’s external and internal corporate communications and is a strategic leader for the company’s #TakeTheLead initiative. They will play an integral role in managing the brand reputation of STARZ by developing and implementing media strategies with business, trade and consumer press. They will develop and oversee distribution of employee communications, provide communications strategies and messaging for a variety of business needs, and will lead in handling crisis communications for the business. They will look for opportunities to drive the business through strategic stories on the company and its executives.
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic development and execution on all announcements handled by the Corporate and Brand Communications team. Responsibilities include press releases, strategizing announcement plans, corresponding with press and representatives, and all corporate communications needs for business and investor-related needs.
- Responsible for executive communications including securing executives on industry lists including the comprehensive awards submissions process, securing and preparing executives for interviews, conferences, panels and other appearances.
- Drive partnership and communications strategy for the company’s #TakeTheLead initiative to drive awareness. Examples of key deliverables include: messaging, decision-making and execution on partnerships, press announcements, talking points, speech-writing, panel outreach, and advertorial copy.
- Lead the internal communications for the company including developing a comprehensive strategy and execute regular internal communications activities including employee memos, business updates, company newsletters, employee engagement events and more. Collaborate with HR, Facilities and Recruiting teams to inform and engage employees effectively.
- Oversee the company’s Media Room and ensure all company information is updated to ensure alignment with brand.
- Collaborate effectively cross-functionally with several departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or similar discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with strong experience writing for business, financial, political audiences.
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including AP Style.
- Must excel in adapting writing in different tones for different audiences.
- Strong computer skills including: Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite required.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organization, time and project management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, and work proactively in a fast paced, high volume, creative and deadline-oriented environment with the ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
- Experience working with senior executives and maintaining the utmost integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company.

Compensation
$200,000 - $240,000
