The Manager is responsible for budget planning and projection for the environmental permitting programs such as emissions permits, industrial wastewater permits, underground storage tanks, etc., regulated hazardous, chemical, medical, and universal waste management, and the emergency planning functions such as management of eyewash and AED inspection programs. In addition, the Manager is responsible for appropriate strategic planning in relation to the development of the programs and the annual reporting for the department's goals and objectives throughout the year. The Manager may serve on university committees such as the sustainability committee, to represent EH&amp;S. The incumbent works with other EH&amp;S staff to develop and deliver training to ensure thorough understanding and compliance with hazardous waste regulations across campus.
