You will partner closely with Finance&nbsp; Technology Transformation, Enterprise Data Governance, Controllership, Risk, and other teams to drive data governance and data quality within Finance.The FDG Manager is a collaborator, a well-organized, action-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and time management skills, confident in presenting, facilitating, and building a network of strong relationships across our organization.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Finance Data Governance in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy ensuring&nbsp; the appropriate accountability model and processes for data asset management, metadata&nbsp; management, data quality, and issue resolution.</li><li>Participate in all aspects of Data Governance including data activation steps, compliance with data standards and privacy regulations.</li><li>Support strategic improvements to data assessment process and making necessary&nbsp; enhancements to data analytical and data quality tools.</li><li>Lead root-cause-analysis of data quality issues and support in remediation of Audit and&nbsp; Regulatory feedback.</li><li>Support development, validation, and maintenance of business glossary, data integration, data&nbsp; lineage, and data management activities.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>5+ years of work experience in Banking/Financial Services.</li><li>Experience of Finance, Banking, or similar industries is a strong plus.</li><li>Technical and data analysis skills with prior experience with SQL.</li><li>Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to&nbsp; management of enterprise information assets is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of metadata practices such as data lineage, data&nbsp; dictionaries, business glossaries, Data Quality rules, source system inventories, etc.</li><li>Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile methodology and delivery concepts or other project&nbsp; management methodologies including SDLC.</li><li>Strong relationship skills and communication is essential as the role require partnering with&nbsp; multiple groups e.g., Business process owners, Technologies, and Enterprise Data&nbsp; Governance.</li><li>Self-motivated and proactive, ability to manage multiple assignments and projects&nbsp; concurrently within tight deadlines.</li><li>Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively manage in a matrix&nbsp; organization.</li><li>Experience of a wide range of architectures/platforms.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred.</li><li>Prior experience of data governance, metadata, and data lineage tools such as, Collibra,&nbsp; MANTA is strongly preferred.</li></ul>Non-considerations for sponsorship:Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
